Planning and execution of projects
Day-to-day management of laboratory activities
Driving a team of chemists on a daily basis for the completion of projects in stipulated
timelines
Ability to lead a group of 3to 5 of Ph.D / non-Ph.D associates
Should be well versed with CMC related activities with demonstrated abilities in CRAMS
industry
Process optimization / process stabilization on lab scale
Managing the scale up activities (grams to tons scale)
Preparation of technology documents for cGMP, Non cGMP projects, technology transfer
documents and process developmental reports
Identification of impurities and their profiling
Should be strong promoter of S,H&E activities in the lab and should manage all the lab
resources efficiently
Good laboratory process design / documentation / implementation
Possessing good communication, management and interpersonal skills

Requirements

Ph.D in synthetic organic chemistry with experience in the total synthesis of natural products
Hardcore R & D experience (4years) in process development and scale-up (preferably in
CRAMS)
High level of proficiency in route selection /problem solving
Through knowledge of scale up activities
Expertise in generating new ideas / thoughts by designing novel synthetic routes for scale
up / process optimization / development
Familiarity with raw material cost (RMC) sheets and volume time cycle (working on
alternatives or new raw materials)
Sound knowledge of structural elucidation and interpretation using analytical techniques
such as NMR, IR, HPLC, GC, mass spectroscopy, UV spectroscopy, etc.
